The one day when UCSD is an actual party: SunGod. People stop studying for 24 hours and gather on RIMAC field to listen to the line-up of artists chosen. This year’s line-up was so-so, they got Wiz Khalifa as the headliner, but I’ve seen him before at Rock the Bells and I was indifferent to just about everyone else performing. Mike Posner?? Pshhh, he sounds like a baby deer. He looks like a baby deer. And his songs suck, so I was not impressed. Big Sean actually wasn’t bad, but it took forEVER for him to come on which is always irritating. Crystal Castles was spinning in the dance tent, which would’ve been cool, had I actually seen them (-___________-) and Jimmy Eat World was old but surprisingly refreshing at the time. I still wish they got Nicki =P
I don’t have many pictures of the nighttime, things got a bit confusing after about 3 o’clock when I finished performing with Ascension and we were able to enjoy SunGod. Yeaaaahhhh. So anyways. Free drinks from the D’Lush Lounge from this random guy we met at Baskin Robbins during 31 cent scoop day who happened to be the owner of the place. Haha my networking always seems to end in just getting free food. Whatever, that’s fine with me!
ANYwho, there isn’t much to say about this day other than that. Lots of fun, and I can’t wait for next year. And at the very least, it should’ve been sunny on SUNgod. What a fail.
